#1 Lotte World

Located just south of the Han River in Seoul’s lively Gangnam District is the predominantly indoor Lotte World. Lotte, the giant multinational conglomerate with business interests in food products, shops, finance and hotels amongst others, also, until August 2016, possessed the largest indoor theme park in the world (largest is now in Dubai). Including Magic Island (closed during bad weather)  on the outside and the host of rides, shops and entertainment on all floors inside Lotte World there is no shortage of things to do for those of all ages.

#4 E-World

The last Korean theme park on our list is E-World in Daegu, a 1.5 hour KTX journey from Seoul or just 45 minutes by KTX from Busan. E-World has a good selection of rides for different ages and at night is lit up in beautiful decorative lights. The park is  built around 83 Tower, so after you’ve had fun on the rides you can go up the 202 meter tall tower, enjoy a meal in the rotating restaurant, catch views of the whole city from the observatory and if you’re feeling brave take the Sky Jump down to the bottom!

The newest area is the extremely popular Wizarding World of Harry Potter featuring Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride. #6 Tokyo Disneyland

We of course couldn’t possibly leave without a shout out to the classic, Tokyo Disneyland. For most of us this is the theme park that provokes the most emotion, joy and memories. Nostalgia around every corner for the grownups and thrills for the youngsters getting to see their beloved cartoon heroes. As well as 7 themed areas, Tokyo Disneyland also has a companion park, Tokyo DisneySea right next door!
