Le Versace
The classy Le Versace Restaurant Lounge Bar is on the hillside of Phra Baramee Road. The restaurant has a stylish, sophisticated vibe with classic furnishings and large Middle Eastern sofas great for lounging on. With refreshing drink in hand, this joint is perfect for soaking up the spectacular views the open air Le Versace offers from it’s vantage point up on the hill.
360 Degrees Bar
On a hilltop overlooking Layan Beach and the Andaman Sea, a seat at 360 Degrees Bar offers superb views, top notch tapas and a vast drink selection. A particularly nice touch is the wine menu, describing each individual wine’s character and which dishes 360 Degrees recommends pairing with each wine.
Afterbeach, Small View Point & Baan Chom View
These three beach bars are virtually neighbors, they share the same beautiful view of Kata Noi Beach and the fishing boats going about their business on the horizon. The three bars cater for slightly different needs and moods however, with each bringing it’s own atmosphere. Afterbeach Bar brings a reggae twist with Bob Marley tunes, seafood and cocktails. Small View Point, contrary to the name is actually pretty big and the bamboo and thatched roof gives this beach bar a slightly more relaxed, back-to-basics feel to it. Baan Chom View is the more formal of the three. A cleaner appearance, quieter ambience and superior menu probably makes Baan Chom View the better choice if looking for a meal to accompany those terrific ocean views.
Dream Beach Club
There are a number of beach clubs to choose from in Phuket but Dream Beach Club on Layan Beach is one of the largest and brings the party right onto the beach. As well as the beach, there are two pools, four bars (including a bar in a pool) and loads of comfortable sofas, loungers and cabanas. Dream Beach Club is on the pricier side of Phuket’s bars, but features a range of tempting signature cocktails, tasty menu items. There’s even extravagant options such as the gold encrusted wagyu beef burger! The mood is generally a relaxed one with the resident DJ supplying a steady flow of R&B and jazz, and on occasion there are also live performances.
Iguana Beach Bar
If you’re looking for a place to chill out in the afternoon, maybe catch the sunset and chat with friends, the Iguana Beach Bar is a top choice. The bar has a slice of it’s own exclusive beach wedged in between Kalim and Kamala Beaches. Named after an iguana shaped rock found in the sand by the owners, here you can collapse into a comfy cushion, catch some rays, enjoy a drink and a snack or even pamper yourself with a Thai massage!
Quip Sky Bar
Climb up the stairs to Quip Sky Bar and you’re immediately given a big friendly greeting by a pink, smiling Rhino, making the five flights of stairs all worth it. From then on, it only gets better at Phuket’s first rooftop bar, first take off your shoes and step onto the wooden deck where a cool breeze complements the colorful city views. The lobster dominated menu featuring Phuket’s famous rock lobster is also well worth a try!
