Hawker Day Out 2022

Hawker Day Out is back! Whether you’re eager to relive fond childhood memories or participate in Singapore’s fascinating hawker culture, this is the chance for you to do it! From 3 June to 19 June 2022, head over to Chinatown Complex to celebrate our local heritage with a series of upcoming events in collaboration with Otah & Friends.

Hawker Walk – Market to Table Adventure

First up, take part in an exciting food tour with the Market to Table Adventure! Like the name suggests, you’ll be following the journey of your food from the ingredients at the market until it transforms into the hawker dishes on your table.

During the tour, explore a traditional wet market and uncover fresh produce you won’t find in a supermarket. As they share with you their personal stories, talk to wet market vendors who’ll reveal what goes on behind-the-scenes.

As a bonus, everyone will get to try their hand at a scavenger hunt right here in the wet market! Grab an activity sheet and train your observation skills, especially for the kids!

A highlight of the tour is the chance to cook your own hawker meal with ingredients purchased from the wet market. In this hands-on experience, get a glimpse of the tricks of the trade! On top of that, enjoy a live demo from well-loved hawkers cooking the fresh produce from the wet market with free tastings after as well.
