Are you a fan of puzzle and mazes? Love getting lost and letting your instinct guide you? If so, you definitely should head to Ashcombe Maze and Gardens to experience one of the most “maze-ical” things to do in Melbourne (pardon the pun)! You do not have to be a nature lover to enjoy your time at Ashcombe, with three different labyrinths to tickle your interest.

First, find the four mosaic flags in the evergreen Hedge Maze, then move on to the circular Rose Maze. Subsequently, try to get to the central arbour while remembering the way as you’ll need it to exit! Lastly, attempt the Lavender Labyrinth and be submerged into 3000 square meters of lush Lavender plants. You’ll never be this relaxed in any other maze.

Before you leave, sample some calamari and brew at The Flying Calamari Brothers, a festival favourite, now based in Ashcombe Gardens.

If you are ever in the way of Phillip Island, plan to make a stop at A Maze’N Things before taking in the Penguin Parade. The whole family will enjoy the crazy attractions offered. Take a peek into Magic Manor where the interactive exhibits make baffles explanation! Follow that with running around Puzzle Island leaving you confused and tickled.
