Travel Guidelines
For foreign travelers, here are the important things to know before traveling to the Philippines. Some of the requirements will be eased starting from April 1, 2022.
Who Can Enter the Philippines?
Fully vaccinated tourists from 157 visa-free countries (full list) can enter the Philippines for leisure travel. They should be able to present a proof of vaccination from the World Health Organization or national/state digital certificates recognized in the Philippines.
Foreign children under 12 are not required to be vaccinated but should be accompanied by fully vaccinated parents.
What Are the Requirements?
Here are the documents and other requirements that foreign tourists must prepare prior to entry into the Philippines.
- Proof of vaccination
- Negative result of RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours before the scheduled departure from point of origin.
*Starting April 1, 2022, a negative antigen test result within 24 hours from the departure will be accepted. - Valid return tickets up to 30 days from the arrival in the Philippines
- Proof of reservation with a hotel/accommodation accredited by the Philippine Department of Tourism
- Passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival
- Travel insurance for COVID-19 treatment (minimum coverage of USD 35,000)
Once you have all these documents, you may sign up at onehealthpass.com.ph to get your One Health Pass QR Code which will be required upon arrival at the airport.
What Can You Expect on Arrival?
As mentioned, you need to obtain and have your One Health Pass QR Code ready upon your arrival at the Philippine airport.
You will have to present the QR code, along with your proof of vaccination, passport, and other travel documents at the Bureau of Immigration for validation.
And then, that’s it! Quarantine is no longer required for fully vaccinated foreign tourists but self-monitoring should be followed for seven days.
