The cafe highlights slow-brew coffee made with V60, best paired with specialty cakes like tablea cake and lipote cheesecake. Pots & Kettles celebrates design commonly found in Calabarzon with a native and nature-loving garden theme. The bamboo facade is already a refreshing sight. Inside, every corner is filled with flora, walls are covered with plant murals, and dining areas are soaked in sunshine. Much like its design, the menu is locally inspired, with regional specialties like crunchy sisig and pork binagoongan. Coffee is also sourced locally.

For nature lovers, Santan Cafe is a heaven-sent breathing space. This coffee hangout is located in a  slightly remote area surrounded by sprawling paddy fields and mountains. The cafe echoes the environment with its own colorful garden with an alfresco dining area—the best spot to space out and decompress. Dig into the home-style Bicolano specialties of Santan Cafe and handcrafted brews by Homespun.

Casa San Pablo feels much like a probinsya or countryside home with a spacious yard surrounded by trees. The picturesque mid-century property houses both a cafe and a bed and breakfast. The interior of the cafe is decorated with artworks and vintage collections, while the yard also serves as a picturesque outdoor dining area. You’ll feel right at home with heirloom dishes like San Pablo longganisa and lechon kawali.

Scandinavian minimalist meets Filipino bahay kubo in this stunning cafe in the eastern town of Mabitac, which is closest to Rizal Province. It easily turns heads on the roadside with its clean white facade accented by light wood and thatch roofing. Just the same, the interior only has lots of white and wood and native materials of the same palette, which is sure to stand out on any Instagram feed. The offerings are also quite unique, such as iced ube macchiato and Krispy noodle spaghetti.

If finding off-the-beaten-track gems is your game, then it will be worth finding Broo in San Pedro, which will be somewhere along your path if you’re headed to Nuvali or Tagaytay from Manila. Broo is a modest coffee kiosk with an Instagram-worthy rustic industrial facade. It may be small but it has an intriguing selection of coffee from “aBROO-ed” (abroad) such as Japanese kori kohi and Indian-style coffee with masala chai tea, as well as “Woozy” coffee mixed with gin, vodka, or whiskey.

Muni Coffee, Kalayaan

Another coffee kiosk worth finding is Muni Coffee, with its Japanese-inspired minimalist design. Through its wood-framed square windows, you can view a neat display of coffee beans and coffee brewing equipment. The cafe offers brewed and iced craft coffee made with V60 as well as classic espresso options like cappuccino and lattes.
