Cafes In Metro Manila With Speedy WiFi And Good Coffee For Your Remote Work Needs

Even with the best work-from-home setup, we often find ourselves drawn to coffee shops. Of course, there’s the coffee—made by someone more masterly than yourself. Then, the aroma of fresh beans. And maybe the relaxing coffeehouse music too. Best of all, many coffee shops are perfectly adapted to remote workers as they offer free WiFi, outlets, and even reading corners. Many cafes are also aesthetically pleasing—so that’s an extra point to get you inspired and revved up.

In the metro, coffee shops are everywhere, but here are our top favorites: cafes that not only have fast WiFi but also awesome coffee and Insta-worthy interiors. All of them offer limited dine-in and some with alfresco areas too; just be sure to have your face mask and face shield always!

Habitual Coffee

Habitual Coffee was originally a hidden coffee shop in a warehouse at Chino Roces, Makati, and it still has that hole-in-the-wall vibe in its new location in Salcedo Village. It features a minimalist interior with an open coffee bar where you can see hand-brew tools and cute turquoise-colored bags of coffee beans on display. As a proud third-wave coffee shop, Habitual Coffee specializes in handcrafted coffee made with locally sourced beans.

The cafe has both WiFi and outlets. For people from the north, Habitual Coffee also has a branch at Ayala Vertis North.

Location: Paseo Heights, Leviste St., Salcedo Village, Makati City / Ayala Vertis North, Quezon City
Hours: Makati: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. / QC: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Commune

When it comes to remote work, Commune is an established go-to cafe in Makati. Thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious balcony, the cafe has bright and airy interiors, exactly the environment you need for focused work. If you’re a conscious drinker, you’ll be glad to know that Commune also strongly advocates local coffee sourced from growers all over the country.

Also, we should warn you: the resident cats are notorious for vicious cuteness. Don’t lose focus!

Location: 36 Polaris St., Poblacion, Makati City
Hours: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Mon–Thu), 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. (Fri–Sun)

Everything about this hole-in-the-wall cafe in Legaspi Village is the antithesis of its name. The Japanese-inspired interior is chic and cozy, with a quiet atmosphere that remote workers will love. The coffee menu is pretty straightforward; you can never go wrong with a pick-me-up of latte or handcrafted brews made with single-origin beans from farms in and out of the country.

Location: Windsor Tower, 163 Legazpi St., Legaspi Village, Makati City
Hours: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Bean & Yolk

What’s better than coffee? Coffee and eggs! Bean & Yolk is a slice of heaven for people who love their food, breakfast or not, with eggs. Their coffee, meanwhile, is made with micro-lot UnCommon Coffee, which is best enjoyed hand-brewed. There are also unique drinks like the keto-friendly Bulletproof Coffee and the photogenic Iced Rose Latte. The interior is just as picture-perfect—plus, the bright and minimalist design somehow has the effect of clearing the mind.

Location: Westgate Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
Hours: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
