This Insta-Perfect Strawberry Farm In The South Is A Must-Visit

Craving the strawberries of Baguio? If you’re stuck in NCR Plus, you’ll be glad to know you don’t actually have to travel far to get your favorite berry treats. Head south to Queens Strawberry Farm in Alfonso, Cavite, a very close neighbor of Tagaytay. In just an hour’s drive or two from Manila, you can experience strawberry picking and enjoy a variety of local dishes, in addition of course to delicious strawberry specialties.

An Insta-Perfect Farm Estate

It’s quite hard to miss the unique triangular frame of the main restaurant, complemented by the estate’s lush surroundings. You get a whole mountainside cabin vibe that’s cozy and postcard-worthy. Those who love nature as their backdrop will be very pleased. Their strawberry farm is unique as well, utilizing vertical space to grow the fruits. No need to squat to show off those berries in your photos; you’re already surrounded by them. It’s the ultimate picture-perfect strawberry paradise in the south!

Strawberry-Themed Meals

The sight of Queens’s strawberry specialties alone already makes our mouths water. The red luscious tint of strawberry bits and syrup on dishes not only makes them more delicious but also extra pretty.

For a whole strawberry-themed meal, start with the American Breakfast Set, comprised of smoked lechon belly bacon, eggs, and pancakes with strawberry syrup. Choose a refreshing strawberry milkshake for drinks and, for the finale, a decadent strawberry cheesecake. If you’re missing Baguio’s strawberry taho, you can get one at Queens too!

Strawberry Picking

If you’ve tried fruit-picking at the vast strawberry fields in La Trinidad, you may get a new experience at Queens as their strawberries are cultivated on vertical poles. However, you may have to wait a bit as the strawberry-picking season is yet to start in November and typically lasts until April. The farm is open, though, if you want to take a peek and snap some photos.

Other Things to Do on Your Visit

While waiting for the strawberry-picking season, you can learn and enjoy fishing at Queens Fishing Village! Afterward, you can have your fresh catch of tilapia cooked at the restaurant. Rates start at PHP 50 per game (30 mins.), exclusive of the cooking fee.

Queens will also soon open their bed & breakfast and events place.

To make the most out of your visit, you can also easily do a side trip to Tagaytay. Queens is just a few minutes away from top attractions such as Zoori, Picnic Grove for Taal Volcano sightseeing, and Nurture Wellness Village for a spa retreat.
