Most Romantic Dating Spots In Antipolo

There’s nothing quite as romantic as whisking your partner away to a beautiful far-flung destination. While the global pandemic is putting a damper on far-flung travel at the moment, there are plenty of places that you can visit without hopping on a plane or driving too far from home.

With its stunning sunset views, vibrant art scene, and burgeoning restaurant landscape, Antipolo is a great weekend destination with some of the best attractions near Metro Manila. And whether it’s Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, a regular weekend date, or even a proposal, this bustling mountain city is a dreamy setting for a love story. Here are our favorite spots for a bit (or a lot) of romance in Antipolo City.

Crescent Moon Café

via Crescent Moon Cafe and Studio Pottery Facebook page

Set in Antipolo long before the city became a regular hangout of metro folk, Crescent Moon Café is a bistro and pottery studio tucked in a “secret garden.” Lush flora and a large koi pond offer a pretty setting for a date, while the café’s Vietnamese-inspired cuisine with a Filipino touch makes every lunch here worthy of a special occasion. It may no longer be an Antipolo secret, but Crescent Moon definitely hasn’t lost any of its charms over the years.

Artsy décor such as the colorful sarong, hanging lamps, rainbow-hued glass bottles, and other artworks create a picture-perfect bohemian enclave. As the restaurant is owned by artist Lanelle Abueva-Fernando, it also offers some of her beautiful stonewares for sale. Pottery workshops are held on the site, which is a fun activity for couples! (Romantic, too—remember the film Ghost?)

The restaurant scene is alive and thriving in Antipolo City with endless amazing dining options throughout the city such as Tahanan Bistro, Burrow Café, and more. It takes more than a weekend to hit them all, but it’s a good excuse to keep coming back to the mountain city again and again.
