Originated from this very town, mee bandung is truly a must-try local delight in Muar. It is believed that this eatery is the pioneer of mee bandung Muar. Rich with thick prawn flavour, this dish is a unique blend of ingredients that has a mild spicy taste. The combination of shrimps, cuttlefish, and beef results in this thick, savoury gravy.

Tanjung Emas Park

The oldest temple in Muar, Nan Hai Fei Lai Temple is an ancient Chinese temple date back to 1913. This temple is dedicated to the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, or Kuan Yin. Located between two shop-houses, the entrance to this time-honoured temple is through a small archway with an ornate roof. This passageway leads to the temple’s open courtyard.

Kedai Kopi Lu San

Highlight of the trip to the royal town – recharge and rejuvenate your body at Gersik Hot Spring. This natural sulphuric hot spring is located between Parit Jawa and Batu Pahat. It features a three-ring pool, with the water temperature varies between 50°C to 70°C, depending on which pool you prefer. There is a children’s swimming pool too!
