Mustn’t-miss Events At Gardens By The Bay This November

At the Gardens by the Bay in Marina Gardens, Singapore, it’s easy to get lost in a whimsical world of natural beauty and impressive architecture. It’s only in the Lion City where you can roam inside a botanical park where green landscapes and nature-inspired structures meet, and you can immerse in a myriad of flora and garden artistry across ecosystems.

From the towering Supertree Grove to the vibrant Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay is undoubtedly one of Singapore’s most popular attractions. The tropical oasis draws in tourists from around the world and residents from around the city nation. With new exhibitions, activities, and events always happening at Gardens by the Bay, there is always a good reason to go back.

Whether you enjoy looking at pocket gardens or wish to learn how to garden at home, Gardens by the Bay has a number of fun activities and events lined up for you this November.

Be enthralled by pocket gardens

via Gardens by the Bay

Inside the Flower Dome, explore the nooks and crannies as well as the mini garden displays that change every two weeks. On view until November 8, Sunday, is the Plant Library at the South American Garden, where you can dive in the world of versatile and ornamental plants. Learn about bromeliads, ferns, and orchids, and how they can be effectively used to decorate indoor spaces to evoke a sense of tranquility. On view until November 22, Sunday, by the Flower Dome entrance is A Bit of England, where you can get a glimpse of different English garden styles through the ages.

Experience Supertree Grove in a new light

via Gardens by the Bay

Garden Rhapsody at Supertree Grove is back in a different form to ensure safe social distancing. Instead of the usual 15-minute light and sound show, enjoy an evening of soothing background music and soft lighting from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Soak in the beautiful experience of music and light amidst the soaring supertrees.

Journey through the masterpieces of French painters

via Gardens by the Bay

Do the gardens and lily ponds of Claude Monet move you? Step into the paintings of French Impressionists and other great artists in A Virtual Voyage through Masterpieces. Scheduled until November 8, Sunday, the virtual voyage allows you to enjoy an immersive journey into the works of Monet, Paul Gauguin, Eduard Manet, and more. Creative sessions and workshops for the curious and inspired are also available.

Interact with an art installation

In a time of separation and distance, Ryotaro Muramatsu/NAKED’s global art initiative the Breath/Bless project is a breath of fresh air. Muramatsu’s interactive Dandelion installation at the lawn of Supertree Grove promotes connectivity and unity especially during these trying times. Make a wish by scanning a QR code and pointing your phone at a sensor, which triggers the scattering of dandelion fluffs in a dazzling showcase before they are carried to another location to produce a new dandelion flower. If this sounds completely magical, then don’t miss this exhibition from November 9 to 15 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Take a virtual tour

via Gardens by the Bay

Avoid the crowds and virtually explore Cloud Forest in a special 45-minute Zoom tour on November 11, Wednesday, at 8:00 a.m. Start the day by discovering a mysterious world veiled in mist. Take in breathtaking mountain views surrounded by diverse vegetation and hidden floral gems, and learn about rare plants and their fast-disappearing environment.
