Enchanted Kingdom Set To Reopen On 17 October

Enchanted Kingdom is reopening on 17 October!

This exciting news comes prior to the theme park’s 25th anniversary, happening on 25 October.

In a post shared on its official Facebook page Friday, the well-loved theme park in Sta. Rosa, Laguna—also called EK—announced the joyous news, saying “Welcoming you back to our kingdom this OCTOBER!”

The post also reassured followers that safety and health protocols have been put in place prior to the reopening, thanking Sta. Rosa Mayor Arlene Arcillas and representatives from the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for visiting and inspecting the park to ensure that all safety protocols will be implemented.

In a series of photos shared by the office of Mayor Arlene Arcillas on Facebook, new features are seen to have been installed in the park. These include handwashing stations, physical distancing markers, and acrylic barriers—among many others.

Following Modified General Community Quarantine protocols, Enchanted Kingdom will welcome visitors coming from different cities and provinces in the Philippines, but senior citizens and individuals aged 20 and below won’t be permitted to enter the park yet according to Mayor Arcillas in an interview with ABS-CBN TeleRadyo. The park has also undergone thorough disinfection and will be accommodating only half of its original capacity.

Upon arrival, guests are required to undergo temperature checks and must present a duly-completed health declaration form, which can be accessed by scanning a QR code. Those who have a fever or appear unwell will be isolated and monitored as per the city’s stringent protocols.
