YouTube Is Holding A Free Online Film Festival Featuring More Than 20 Partners—Including Cannes, Sundance, and Tribeca

Movie buffs, read up! If you’ve always wanted to attend major film festivals like Cannes, Sundance, and Tribeca, but never got the chance to, well, your dream is about to come true!

For ten days from 29 May, Friday, YouTube will be hosting “We Are One: A Global Film Festival,” which will showcase specially curated content from more than 20 film festivals around the world.

The virtual affair will feature full-length films, documentaries, shorts, conversations with filmmakers, and more to feed your movie-loving soul in the comfort of your home. While the specific titles are yet to be revealed by the organizers, you can expect a full schedule in the coming weeks.

While the films and other content may be accessed for free during the event, viewers are highly encouraged to make donations for COVID-19 relief. Proceeds will be directed towards the World Health Organization and local organizations in various regions around the world.
