Just like many countries across the globe, France has declared a confined quarantine period in an effort to curb the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19). With most cultural institutions closing their doors, the Paris Opera has followed suit, but their shows will go on…virtually.
Up until May, the Paris Opera is offering to the public free access to select performances, including its most breathtaking ballets and operas such as The Tales of Hoffmann, Carmen, and Tchaikovsky’s six symphonies.
The shows are available for streaming on the Paris Opera’s official website. Here’s the official schedule of the performances you can catch:

You may also explore the historic Palais Garnier on a free virtual tour offered by the Paris Opera.
