Some of Disney’s top secrets are finally out!
In an ongoing series of posts tagged as “Cooking Up The Magic At Home,” Disneyland is revealing to the Disney-loving public the recipes of some of the park’s signature treats.
From the famous Dole Whip to the fan-favorite churros, the recipes on the official Disney Parks Blog and on the My Disney Experience app will surely keep Disney fans from all over the world busy in the kitchen as they wait for the day they could return to the Happiest Place On Earth, which, at the moment, remains temporarily closed due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Now, you don’t need Disney Princess cooking skills to replicate the Disneyland treats in the comfort of your home, as they are all pretty easy to make!
Here are the recipes you might want to try now:
Released on the My Disney Experience app, the recipe of the sweet and tangy frozen pineapple treat that is the Dole Whip apparently requires just three simple ingredients: 1 big scoop of vanilla ice cream, 4 ounces of pineapple juice, and 2 cups of frozen pineapple chunks!
To make the refreshing dessert, all you have to do is to blend all three ingredients until smooth. Achieve the Dole Whip’s iconic swirl by piping the mixture in a small bowl or cup using a star-tipped piping bag. If you don’t have a metal star tip, you can improvise with parchment paper or a plastic zip bag snipped in one corner.
The Dole Whip is a classic Disneyland treat that made its debut in the park’s Adventureland area back in 1986.
Present in all Disney Parks around the world, the delicious Disney Churro sure is a memorable snack for every visitor. You’ve probably munched on it while waiting in line or sitting down to give your legs a break from all the walking (hey, the parks are MASSIVE!). And if it’s become your favorite Disney snack, then try your hand at making it at home!
From Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort come the Cookie Fries—a healthful plant-based snack that’s reminiscent of biscotti. A creation of Disney chefs, the crunchy chocolate chip cookie sticks are served with three dipping sauces, namely marshmallow cream, chocolate, and strawberry. While the recipe of the sauces hasn’t been revealed (yet!), the Cookie Fries are already seriously addictive on their own.
Grilled Cheese Sandwich
You know that yummy grilled cheese sandwich you can get from Woody’s Lunch Box at Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Well, you can make that one at home, too! The recipe, revealed on the eve of National Grilled Cheese Day (12 April)—no less, is a premium take on everyone’s all-time favorite sandwich.
