Who said theme parks are just for children? Sometimes, adulting just gets way out of hand and all you want to do is take a step back and reignite the childlike wonder and joy that you wish you still had in you.
If you’re in Taiwan (or have plans to travel there for a much-needed vacation), you’ll be glad to know that the island boasts world-class theme parks that excites not just kids, but adults like you, too!
Ready for some fun? Here are our favorite spots in Taiwan for reliving childhood thrills and joys:
Taipei Children’s Amusement Park
Do not be fooled by its name. You are absolutely welcome to enjoy this place just like any other kid! Located in the Shilin District of the Taiwanese capital, it is the largest publicly-operated amusement park on the island. From the classic Ocean Carousel and Spinning Tea Cups to the scream-inducing Drop Tower and Magic Star Trek Roller Coaster, Taipei Children’s Amusement Park sure has something to offer to kids and kids-at-heart like you! The best part? The park has diversified its available activities, covering even its surrounding areas, for a fun and educational visit.

Leofoo Village Theme Park
Asia may now be dotted by countless theme parks here and there, but Leofoo Village remains to be among the originals. Opened in 1979, it bills itself as the first fantasy world in Asia that combines an amusement park and a safari. Yep, if you’re an animal lover, you will surely relish the time you spend here! Get up close and personal with the animals that call Leofoo Village their home. In fact, you can check-in at Leofoo Resort’s hotel, which flaunts well-appointed safari-themed rooms that have large windows so you can view some of the resort’s resident animals such as giraffes, zebras, and lemurs as soon as you wake up or before you go to sleep! The theme park also boasts rides that are suitable for adults, crossing out the bore factor. Try out one (or all!) of the three roller coasters in the park—Screaming Condor, Sahara Twist, or Little Rattler.
