Madame Tussauds Hong Kong Unveils Wax Figure Of Got7’s Jackson

Got7 fans—also known as I GOT7 or Ahgases—now have a good reason to visit Madame Tussauds Hong Kong! Lead rapper Jackson, who hails from Hong Kong, has joined the museum’s long list of celebrities honored with a wax figure.

The K-Pop star’s statue was officially unveiled at a private ceremony, and to mark the special occasion, Jackson arrived at the event dressed identically to his wax figure that was posing with his signature “W” hand sign that stands for “Team Wang.”

According to Jackson, he was excited to meet “himself”—a childhood dream that finally came true on his 25th birthday. He added that he will continue working hard in order to have more figures of him displayed at all Madame Tussauds around the world, so his fans can take selfies with him whenever and wherever they want.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong reportedly invested over HK$1 million to create two new interactive experiences featuring Jackson: AR and hologram.

AR technology allows fans to pose with Jackson in four pictures, and if that’s not cool enough, the photos can be downloaded for free! The hologram experience is a collaborative effort between Jackson and the museum to create a custom performance in which fans can dance to the song “Papillon” with their idol.

The wax figure was opened to the public on July 30.
