The Best Sights and Experiences In Sun World Ba Na Hills

High up in the Truong Son Mountains of West Da Nang sits Bà Nà Hills Resort. This remarkable destination is home to Sun World, Vietnam’s most significant recreational and amusement complex. It marries Asian and European architectural concepts to create an otherworldly landscape that flaunts unparalleled vistas of Central Vietnam’s highlands. Surrounded by lush greenery and clear blue skies, it’s no wonder this place is also known as “heaven on earth.”

Here are 10 sights and experiences to check out and try on your day trip to Ba Na Hills:

The cable cars at Ba Na Hills are what you’d like to call “average.” They’re the longest network of cable cars in the world and hold a couple of Guinness World Records, including greatest change in elevation, heaviest cable, and longest gap. They’re so impressive, even CNN cited them as one of the best in the world! Traveling five routes, the cable cars here offer breathtaking views of Bà Nà Hills and its surrounding forests.

Walk the Golden Bridge

The Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills is unmissable. Two gigantic hands made of stone holding up a 150-meter bridge to the sky, it has a peculiar design that doesn’t just make for great photos, but also for taking in the verdant sights below.

Sneak a peek into the Debay Wine Cellar

This wine cellar with almost a century’s worth of history resembles a castle from the outside, but the real storage area runs 100 meters deep. Built in 1923 by French colonialists, it was where the owners of the Ba Na villa enjoyed a glass of wine or two with their guests. Today, its second level functions as a bar, where the park’s visitors can enjoy sumptuous savory dishes with, of course, wine.

Marvel at the Linh Ung Pagoda

In terms of scale and artistic architecture, the Linh Ung Pagoda is the largest of its kind in Da Nang. It’s where you will find the towering 67-meter statue of the Lady Buddha or the Goddess of Mercy, who locals believe to watch over and protect fishermen at sea.

Be awe-struck by colorful blooms at Le Jardin d’Amour

Composed of nine gardens with varying styles, Le Jardin d’Amour is a romantic attraction in Ba Na Hills that blends well with the European flair that the entire park exudes. Bursting in color and fascinating patterns, the gardens present tons of photo opportunities, so grab your camera and click away!

Take the mountain train
